The document has already been discussed by the MU Board of Trustees. The University has thus passed an important milestone - it is a self-assessment report, which it is required by law to prepare every five years and which is a key prerequisite for maintaining institutional accreditation. Thanks to this recognition, we can approve our own study programmes.

The current report summarises developments in the above areas over the last five years (2018-2022): however, it does not simply list and describe the activities implemented, but primarily aims to evaluate the functioning of the internal quality assurance system as a whole. "In other words, the report serves to evaluate what is being done at the University to improve the quality of education, research and the overall environment of the University", said Michal Bulant, Vice-Rector for Education and Quality, on the purpose of the report.

Through this activity, it has also been possible to highlight topics that will be crucial for quality in the coming period: among others, this will certainly be the area of doctoral studies, which is already undergoing significant reforms, the development of teaching competences of academic staff, or - last but not least - work with artificial intelligence.

The report can be found on the University's website: https://is.muni.cz

We would like to thank once again not only those who have contributed to this summary report, but above all all those who contribute to the continuous improvement of our University.
