The Quality Assurance Department is part of the Rector's Office of Masaryk University and falls under the competence of the Vice-Rector for Education and Quality, who is Mgr. Michal Bulant, Ph.D.

The RMU Quality Assurance Department is the guarantor of activities leading to ensuring and improving the quality of education and works closely with all faculties and other entities of the University.

A number of activities in this area across the whole university are methodologically and financially supported by internal and central development projects coordinated under the responsibility of the Quality Department. People from the RMU Quality Department team are involved in or responsible for

• administration of the MU Internal Evaluation Board meetings and activities
• providing methodological support to faculties in the accreditation, implementation and evaluation of degree programmes
• creating methodological guidelines, manuals and infographics for all actors involved in the accreditation and evaluation of study programmes
• setting up related applications in the University Information System
• communication with the National Accreditation Office and relevant ministries
• the system of quality assurance of teaching and provision of methodological support to faculty lecturers
• coordination of project activities
